History

100+Women Who Care was first started in Jackson, Michigan by Karen Dunigan in 2008.  Her group of 100 women, at their first one hour meeting, raised $10,000 to buy 300 new baby cribs for an organization in their city.  Their membership has now grown to nearly 300 members.

Since that time other cities throughout the country have formed groups.  Ohio currently has groups in Dayton and Columbus as well as newly formed groups in the Cleveland-Metro area, Western Reserve, Lorain County and now Medina County.

The Medina Group started  in April 2011, as a result of several members reading the Regina Brett article in the Cleveland Plain Dealer talking about the Cleveland Chapter of 100+Women Who Care group there. Read the article at the link below.

Since our first meeting in April of 2011, we have raised over $345,000 for Medina County non-profit organizations.  Our membership has grown from 70 members to over 200 members.  100+Women Who Care Medina County continues to make a difference in Medina County.
